President –Mary Ann Raley

Mary Ann has been quilting for about eight years, sewing for 40 plus.  Her hobbies other than quilting are knitting, reading, role-playing games, shopping for antiques, traveling (I particularly like the mountains; I’m not a beach person).  She has been married for 15 years and though currently has no pets, is a cat person.

Favorite quilt pattern… “I like old fashioned, classical patterns, like Jacob’s Ladder, Trip Around the World, Churn Dash, Log Cabin…  Although someday I’d like to do a bargello quilt.”

2nd Vice President-Linda Layfield

Linda has been sewing constantly since 1963! She learned how to “quilt as you go” in 1974 when she was 24!  She made one beautiful hand appliqued, hand quilted SunBonnet/Sue/Sam  quilt for a 2 yr old and swore she would never quilt again!!! She got hooked in 1995, and has been quilting ever since.  She taught her daughter, then her GS troop (hand piecing for the troop!) and after her daughter learned how to machine quilt, she has “stitched in the ditch only a few times!  Then in 2005, her daughter opened her long- arm shop, so she may never do it herself again!  She is also a scrapbooker.  Linda has been very happily for 47 years and is the mom of 3 , “Mimi” of 4!

Favorite quilt pattern….”traditional, but my very  favorite is Double Wedding Ring.”
